They are designed for automatic control, regulation and protection of various power and technological installations and processes with the issuance of local light signaling and a discrete command (closing or opening of the corresponding output relay contacts) for each control channel when the controlled parameters reach the set values and directions of operation according to:

- the temperature of the coolant, oil and fuel (PKT. PKTK, PKT-2, PKT2u, PKT3u, PKT-BI, PKT2u-BI, PKT3u-BI and temperature control channels (T) in the devices PKT-D, PKT-UM, PKT-UZH));

- oil and air pressure (PKD, PKD-2, PKD2u, PKD3u and pressure monitoring channels (D) in PKT-D, PKD-UM, PKD-UZH devices);

- oil and fuel level (PKU-M, PKU-M-2, and channels (UM) or (M) oil level control in the devices PKT-UM, PKD-UM, PKU-M-Zh);

- the level of the coolant (PCU-Zh, PCU-Zh-2, PCU2u-BI and channels (U) or (W) control the level of the coolant in the devices PKT-UH, PKD-UH, PKU-M-Zh);

- the speed of rotation (PKCHV, PKCHV-S, PKCHV-BI).
